The second meeting of the project Transversal ICT will be held in Karvia, Finland on Monday 6 October, 2008
The meeting will be of strategic importance for the presentation of the results of the first phase of the research and good practices in the field of new technologies in order to understand their effect of the lives of European families and the role of ICT tools in the relationship between parents and children, family and community. The next steps of the project will be defined on the basis of what will have emerged from the meeting in order to build an online learning community both for parents and children involving them in a shared path in order to promote and help the exchange of knowledge, work and mutual enrichment. Partner organisations from Italy, Finland, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Germany, Rumania, Malta, Poland and Turkey will take part in the meeting.

On Friday 16th January 2009 the third transnational meeting will be held in Rzeszow, Poland.
The meeting will be strategic to effectively define and start the experimentation phase and it will be the occasion to present the online learning environment and the Learning Game, an innovative product realized in collaboration with Giunti Lab. European families involved in the project will participate in a challenging quiz tournament.

This activity requests you to point out the more interesting or funny or curious movies of national or local celebrations like as Christmas, Eastern, mother’s day, patron saint’s day, etc. The family cooking book: you are asked to write down a simple recipe of some famous and traditional dishes in your family and to take a picture of it.

1st Activity
Many families from all over Europe took part in the first week activities! We ask the partners to monitor the work made by the families and to involve the participants that didn’t manage to go through the activities so far.

Famillathlon - initiative for family sports and common activities in the family on the Day of Europe held in South Park of Sofia. Association Roditeli organized a stand and distributed the project materials to over 100 people; over 1500 people attended the event

Fourth transnational meeting in Malta.
The meeting aim is to discuss about the project experimentation carried out in the various countries involved all over Europe, to organize the awards delivery and define the next project steps in view of the final months of the project implementation.

Prize giving ceremony of the Yildirim family, winner of the first prize of the PatchWorld Game
On Friday 4 December 2009, on the premises of Città di Castello Town Hall the prize-giving ceremony will be held. The Yildirim family, winner of the first prize is also awarded with a pleasant stay from Thursday 3 to Sunday 6 December 2009 in Florence, where the head offices of the project partner Giunti O.S. are located. This prize is a recognition for the commitment and the good results reached by the Yildirim Family during the PATCH-WORLd experimentation and the transnational phase of the PATCH-WORLd Game.

Final Project Conference in Malta
It will be addressed to teachers, school administrators, parents, students and game participants. During the conference the project aims and findings will be disseminated and a panel discussion will be held about the experience of participating in the PatchWorld project by AKS members and the feeling gathered by the game participants. During the event the Pavia family will receive a participation certificate and the Apple iPod Nano, the prize for the winner of the 4th place.
